Question
Can I file a case against my groomer who neglected my dog and now has to undergo an almost $4,000 surgery?
Answer
I hope that your dog gets all better very soon. Groomers can be sued for negligence which caused harm to an animal. Groomers should have insurance so sometimes an aggrieved pet “parent” can be compensated by making a claim without the necessity of filing a lawsuit. The police and other law enforcement agencies should also be contacted if there is evidence that an animal was handled in a cruel manner.
